The first version of something can be the best version.

There isn’t much need for a subtitle today.

It's Sunday afternoon, the sun is shining outside, and I am sitting at a little table by the window, as one does on a Sunday. Am I living my best rom-com-style life? It is peaceful. Plus, my view of the hydrangeas outside the window is rather pleasing.

Not to get off subject, as the title states, the first version of something can be the best version one. And no, this didn't come to me through some kind of profound understanding. You see, Sundays are usually arts-and-crafts days at my home. We get all of our colours out, I do some reading, some writing, hence this. And sometimes I attempt to create things with the little one using AI.

I happened to be watching this Google video on building an interactive sandbox in Gemini, and I had a great idea to recreate it.

So off I went to Gemini, added the prompt and my own colour scheme and font, and it gave me a great output. We could use it, and my next step was to tinker, which was a disaster; otherwise, I wouldn’t be writing this. In the end, after an hour of frustration, I asked it to revert all changes and return to the initial version. Lesson well learnt. You don’t need more features. You do not need to add anything else, and your MVP probably should not contain more than three things.
