Notes From My Desk…
This is where I publish my thinking as it develops.
Some posts explore AI governance, public policy, accessibility, education, and technology. Others are observations about learning, digital culture, or the systems that shape everyday life. Not everything fits neatly into a single category, and that's intentional.
I publish when there is something worth saying rather than to a fixed schedule. Sometimes that means several posts in a week. Sometimes it means a longer pause while I'm researching or building something new.
Why Designing for the Margins Creates Universal Excellence
Most of us have been thinking about accessibility all wrong. We've treated it like a regulatory afterthought, something we bolt on after the "real" design is done. But what if accessibility is viewed through the lens of excellence rather than accommodation?
The Robot Will See You Now (For Popcorn Only)
I keep thinking about that robot. One Optimus unit, Tesla's $20,000+ humanoid creation, stands behind the bar on the second floor, methodically scooping popcorn into paper containers while 140 human employees do literally everything else, the cooking, the serving, the cleaning, the actual work of running a restaurant. But guess what everyone's filming?
The popcorn robot.
